Our summer sessions are for 5 consecutive days Monday through Friday – an hour class each day, at the same time each day. Maintenance sessions are 45 minutes each, scheduled Sept – March. Tuition is $225.00 per child with a discount for 3 or more siblings.
A child may start swim lessons as soon as they are able to sit up without support.
We recommend at least two weekly sessions per child, per summer. We strongly recommend then following up with our maintenance sessions in the Fall/Spring. Some children come to as many as five sessions in the summer. Every child is different, so it will really depend on the child.
NO. Our lessons are not “mommy and Me” or “Parent Assisted Classes” so you are not required to get in the pool with your child.
Make-up classes for a missed session are offered for emergency instances only (death in the family, illness with Dr excuse, etc). Make-up classes must be attended during the existing session that your child is enrolled (i.e. spring, summer, etc.).
Even if it is raining where you live it may very well not be raining where we are. We DO teach in the rain. The only time we cancel classes is due to severe weather (i.e. lightning) and will call parents to advise them directly. Parents may also contact us via phone if a class is in question. If a cancellation is necessary due to weather we will make up the class(s) at a later date during the existing session, unless 50% or more of the weekly session has already been completed.
This is where TRUST in the process of our program is imperative. Learning this life-saving skill is very hard work and may not always be “fun” for them. However, it is a must if you want your child to progress and to be safe in and around the water. The fun times will come and the confidence-building they will obtain in learning to swim far outweighs any negative emotions you or they may be having at the moment.
We do not give refunds after you have started a session. If you have started a session then you are taking up a place in class that we can not fill once the session has started. This is why understanding our teaching philosophy and our program is so very important to new parents. Please read over our website fully and carefully. If you still have questions we will be happy to discuss those over the phone with you.
